If you search online, you will inevitably come across one or two infographics that offer some really useful tips and information, and one of the most useful infographics that I have come across just recently is The Anatomy Of A New Fitness Routine.
This infographic highlights some of the things you should and shouldn’t do when starting a new fitness program if you want to get the most out of your workouts:
For example, it highlights the importance of listening to your body and allowing plenty of time for recovery, which is fairly obvious, but is something that so many people simply do not do because they will often push themselves really hard until they eventually injure themselves.
It also explains why a strong core is so important, and explains why you should always write down details of your workout routine.
In addition, it also highlights the importance of walking in your everyday life, and the health benefits associated with this particular activity.
With regards to the things you should not do, it explains why you shouldn’t allow your muscles to become dehydrated during your workouts, and why you shouldn’t do too much too soon when you first start working out, which is another classic mistake that many people make.
It also highlights why you should do short bursts of exercise throughout the day if you are strapped for time, and interestingly, why you shouldn’t neglect your feet because they play such an important role in your daily life and need to be kept stretched, strong and healthy.
So as I say, there is a useful collection of dos and don’ts that are worth paying attention to, but if you really need some extra motivation to get started, it also highlights some of the things that people can look forward to when they start working out regularly, according to various different fitness experts.
For example, 52% of people who were surveyed said that feeling good is one of the biggest health benefits, but many other fitness professionals also suggested that improved health is another of the key benefits.
Other health benefits that were highlighted include weight loss and weight management, stress relief, muscle growth and a sense of community, as well as the satisfaction of achieving goals and doing something for themselves.
So this infographic does a really good job of explaining why you should take up fitness, and also has some really useful tips if you do decide to start a new fitness program.
