HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training and is generally considered to be much more effective than standard cardio exercises simply because they are so much more intense.
Indeed because they are so intense, it could be argued that this form of exercise is more suitable for younger people between 18 and 35 than middle-aged or older people.
You will find that HIIT is perfect if you want to lose body fat, tone up your entire body and improve your overall level of fitness, which is why it is growing in popularity all the time.
You can either jump straight in and start performing one of these HIIT workouts, or you can gradually start introducing some of these exercises into your usual routine.
This latter option is probably better because you really need to build up your strength and your fitness in order to be able to complete a full HIIT workout.
So with that in mind, I thought I would feature a brand new video that I have recently discovered on YouTube that has 13 of these HIIT exercises that you can think about including in your workouts if you want to enjoy all of the benefits that HIIT has to offer:
As you can see, this includes a wide variety of different exercises that you can do in the comfort of your own home, some of which are harder than others.
Here is the full list of all of the exercises that are featured in this video:
- Hand-Release Push-Ups
- Plyo Push-Ups
- Russian Twists
- Single-Leg Burpees
- Supermans with Lateral Raises
- Lateral Lunges with Hops
- Tuck-Ups
- Mountain Climbers
