Calories Burned In 30 Minutes For Various Different Activities

Many people who start performing one or two new exercises, or take up a new sport, for example, like to know how many calories they are burning whilst performing these activities.

That’s because in simple terms, the more calories you are burning, the easier it will be to lose weight.

So in this article I want to share with you a very useful infographic that I have recently discovered online that tells you how many calories you will burn in 30 minutes for various different exercises and activities (based on how much you weigh):

30 Minute Exercise And Calorie Guide

As you can see, it tells you how many calories you can expect to lose when you do 30 minutes of aerobics, cycling, running, swimming, walking, weight training and yoga, for example, and also tells you many calories you can burn when you do martial arts, or play tennis or golf, for instance.

Therefore this is really useful information, and it makes for some interesting reading because it is clear that you can still burn up to 100- 200 calories or more even with low-impact exercises such as yoga and walking, which you may not have realized.

However more importantly, it highlights some of the activities that will have a much greater impact on your weight loss results.

For instance, if you are a woman who weighs 120 lbs, for example, you might want to take up running because a 30-minute jog at a fast pace can burn 342 calories, whilst even a steady paced run will burn 272 calories during this time.

Alternatively you might want to head to your local swimming pool because 30 minutes of swimming can burn 263 calories, or consider taking up one of the martial arts, such as karate, judo or kick boxing, because this can burn as much as 293 calories.

You might also want to consider buying yourself a stationary exercise bike because according to this infographic, indoor cycling for 30 minutes can burn up to 284 calories.

The point is that it is actually quite easy to lose weight. You just need to reduce your calorie consumption and expend more calories through exercise, and so this infographic should at least give you an idea as to the kind of activities and exercises that will be most beneficial to you from a weight loss point of view.
